The highlight of this "adventure" is to visit Machu Pichu and to absorb the culture of the Inca city of Cuzco. The news from Peru a few days ago of a bus crash in the Andes mountains does qualify this trip as an adventure!

Deadly accidents are common on Peru's narrow Andean highways. Every year about 3,000 people are killed and 50,000 are injured in road accidents, according to official statistics.
